Sixth Annual Yosemite Facelift - Sept. 23-27

For five days this fall, the Yosemite Climbing Association will once again sponsor a Yosemite-wide cleanup to benefit the park and help restore high use areas after the busy summer season. The goal is an intensive cleaning of all areas in the park before the winter rains set in. This will include roadways, the river corridor, trails, parking areas, campgrounds, climbing areas, and lodging areas. For more details and a daily schedule, go to Yosemite Climbing Association.

Reel Rock Tour '09

If you're looking for some films to hold you over until the Banff Festival, check out the Reel Rock Tour website. The fall's tour features a series of films put together by Sender Films and the National Geo Adventure channel. Also featured are films from "Progression", Big Up Productions' newest release. Judging from the trailer, there will be lots of inspiration to go create your own adventure. Local showings are Sept. 25th in San Francisco and Oct. 17 at Pipeworks in Sacramento.

Crankin', The Series...Second Season

Just in case you haven't noticed, the days are getting shorter and that only mean one thing...time to start thinking about training for this season's Crankin'. The dates are set with the first one scheduled for Oct. 23...only 46 days away. The format will be a bit different this year so stay tuned for details.
